As a big fan of Yu-Gi-Oh series while growing up, From Gwent to Hearthstone any time I come across to a deck building game I’d be like “Is this something like Yugioh?” but Slay The Spire solely was enough to change my whole perception regarding the card games and made me a big fanatic of the genre. But what is “Slay the Spire?” you might ask. It is a Roguelike deck building game in its core.
Slay the spire is a simple yet an amazing game with the countless scenarios game lets you experience. You get new cards, you get new relics and it just opens the door for new strategies and possibilities. If you are familiar with this genre, you’ll like this game and if you are not a big fan of this genre I think this game might just change that for you.
Game starts with limited character option but as you progress further in the game it ends up letting you choose between 4 characters total.”The Silent” being my favorite, game gives you 3 other options such as “The Watcher / The Ironclad and The Defect. Please be noted that characters affects your gameplay style totally.
Game consist variety of elements that will affect your gameplay, those are;
- Camp fires – that lets you rest and recover or upgrade your cards.
- Special Encounters – that will end up giving you special rewards most of the time.
- Merchant – that will be selling you cards, relics and potions.
- Treasure Chests – thats where you get your special items (relics-cards-money)
- Relics – its a special item that grants you passive skills.
- Potions – game changer! dont need to be thirsty to drink them potions.
Choose your own path and start climbing up!
Slay the spire just got a new update and there will be a second game coming up, so anyone whom interested in the game there is two things I’d like to suggest.
1- Just give this game a go and see for yourself.

Summary:
Slay the Spire is one of my favorites of all time. The game never failed to amaze me, give me a great time and bang for my buck.
It’s my go to game when I want to enjoy myself. The games just does amazing by scratching my itch!
